Utica University General Education Program

The Utica University General Education Program provides students with enriching learning experiences that are both foundational and integrative of scientific, humanistic, and technological contexts. After students complete a sequence of foundational courses providing a background, aptitude, and understanding necessary for success in their education and lives, they will explore knowledge areas by choosing to enroll in exciting themed pathways or to explore a broad range of engaging courses.

Program Oversight

Curriculum Approval Process

Curriculum proposals for inclusion in general education need to be submitted to the General Education Council for review and approval before submission to Curriculum Committee. The appropriate forms are available below. Please complete the appropriate form and email it to gened@volamdolong.com.

Once approved by the Council, the form should be attached to a curriculum committee proposal in the Supplemental Materials section. Curriculum proposals are submitted through the curriculum committee portal.
